Botox & Filler

BOTOX® (BOTULINUM TOXIN) - www.botoxcosmetic.com

Botox® provides a quick, easy and effective way to treat wrinkles caused by stress, worry and everyday life, for young and old.  It can be used to effectively remove or improve the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyes and around the eyes. These are the most popular areas of use, but other areas of the face can also be treated e.g. the base of the nose, depending on each individual’s needs.

About Botox®

It is derived from botulinum toxin type A, a bacterium-produced neuromuscular toxin. Botox® contains a diluted form of the toxin and has been proven safe. This toxin numbs the muscles that cause wrinkles.

How long will it last?

Botox® is a temporary solution to treating wrinkles, lasting about 4-6 months.

The Procedure

The procedure is very quick, and injections take only about 15-20 minutes. Recovery time is about a day. Depending on each individual, it can take up to 5-10 days to reach optimum effect and numb the muscles that help to cause wrinkles.

FILLER (JUVÉDERM) - www.juvederm.com

Juvéderm® is used to add volume and smooth away wrinkles, most popularly lines around the mouth and nose. Lips can also be shaped and plumped up with filler. There are also many other areas and techniques of use, which can be customised according to each patient’s needs.

About Filler

Juvéderm® is a smooth gel made of hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in the body to hydrate and add volume to the skin.

How long will it last?

Filler (Juvéderm), depending on the patient and where it is administered, can last up to 9months to a year.

The Procedure

The procedure is very quick and injections take only 15-20 minutes. A fine needle is used to fill up wrinkles or augment areas, by adding volume to the skin and removing folds with immediate results. Bruising and bleeding at the injection site are quite common, so make sure you have enough time to recover, which could be up to 1 week.
